I’ve been scouring the networks for a solution to fix mouse lag in Windows 8.1 for the last few days. There’s nothing like it when it happens. Trouble is; all the ‘help’ pages talk about mouse lag whilst playing games.
I do not use my laptop as a gamer. I have tons of games on me Kindle. I don’t need ’em on me laptop! So what to do?
Well, so far, I dunno! I’ve been constantly rebooting, learning a few tweaks, like starting up in Safe Mode and trying to get one of the Recovery options to work. (It doesn’t, currently). Then I had to learn how to get back OUT of Safe Mode! Man, what a hassle.
Done it, finally, or I wouldn’t be typing this!
Thing is, when you get mouse lag, it interferes badly with all sound issues, so you can’t comfortably watch a movie online, (YouTube), and trying to use iTunes is horrible.
If it continues, the best thing on offer seems to be to pack up and leave for a bit, reinstall Windows, and begin again.
Do you know how long that would take me? No, this time, neither do I. 😦 I’ve got loads more software now than I started with, plus, I’ll have to be able to find all the Keys, or everything will have to be newly Licensed. That does not turn me on, at the moment.
But there’s been a Windows Update just dropped in. Does this mean it’s now time to 🙂 Or will I still be 😦 after an hour or two?
That remains to be seen. Meanwhile, out comes the tool book. I might still need it…
